About Us
For Heavens Cake is a home based business that is fully licenced and registered with Colchester Borough Council, It is run by Anna Greenley who's passion for making and decorating cakes blossomed from a love of art and crafts.
For Heavens Cake specialises in hand crafted unique designs so that you can be sure to have a very special cake for your event. We have many resourses in regards to cake design so if you are stuck for a design idea then give us a theme or description of the event and we will happily offer you some guidence and ideas for all different budgets.

If you have a favourite flavour not listed above then please let us know and we will do our best to find a recipie to fit your requirements. If you need a gluten or dairy free cake please email us outlining your food intolerance and we will seek a recipie to accomodate your needs.
All of our cakes are covered in fondant which is also known as sugarpaste. Our hand crafted cake toppers are made of a fondant and gumpaste mix which is edible, although not suitable for small children as could be a choking hazard. Sugar flowers are made of gumpaste and contain non edible parts such as wires and are therefore not ediblle.
Both the models and flowers if stored correctly can be kept as a memento.
Prices
Due to the individual nature of our cakes, prices can vary considerably. The best way to get an accurate price would be to contact us describing the type of cake you want, the date of the event and the number of people you need to serve and we will be happy to send you a quote.
However to give you some guidance our base prices are as follows...........
Novelty Cake - From £50.00
1 Tier Standard Celebration Cake - From £50.00
2 Tier Standard Celebration Cake - From £100.00
3 Tier Standard Celebration Cake - From £180.00

All prices include delivery to Colchester and Braintree.
What kind of design can I have?
At For Heavens cake we welcome ideas of all shapes and sizes! Whether you want a traditional cake or a more unique design just tell us what you want and we will do our best to create your design just how you pictured it. If you have seen a design on another site or in a seach engine just send us a copy and we will recreate it for you. Of course there are limitations to what can be achieved using cake and if we think something is not possible we will tell you and offer an alternate design idea.
Since all our cakes are hand made they will have a natural variation.
Weddings
Wedding cakes, very much like the rest of our cakes also come in all shapes and sizes. We offer a personal design service and a free consultation where we can meet and have a chat about design ideas and a browse through a selection of wedding cake designs. Flavour wise you have many options from all fruit cake or all sponge to a different flavour in each tier.
Delivery and set up at a local venue is included in the price of our wedding cakes,
If you already know the style of cake you want and would like an estimate, then please email us with the date of your wedding, the venue, the approximate number of guests and a description of the type of design you would like. If you have a picture of a design you like then please include this with the email, as a picture speaks a thousand words! Once we have recieved this information we will be able to give you an estimate for your cake.
When Shall I Book and How?
We would advise booking as far in advance as possible to ensure we are available for your event. This is particularly so for wedding cakes, multi tier celebration cakes and fruit cakes. We of course sometimes have cancellations, so if you have a booking at short notice please email us as we may be able to fit you in.
To book simply email or call us with your request and we will get you back confirming whether we are available to make your cake, We will send you a booking form which you will need to send us together with your deposit.
Only once the deposit has been recieved will your booking be confirmed.
Payment
A deposit is required on all orders to secure your booking. This is usually 50% of the total, and is only refundable should the cake be cancelled no later than 14 days prior to the delivery date. The balance for celebration cakes under £100.00 can be paid upon delivery, while the balance for orders over £100.00 are required no later than 2 weeks before the delivery date. Payment can be by cheque, cash or paypal, but paypal payments will be subject to a small additional charge.
Delivery
Delivery is free to all addresses in Colchester and Braintree. We do ask for a small delivery fee for areas outside of this. Collection in person is acceptable, however once a cake has been collected For Heavens Cake is no longer responsible for anything that may happen during transportation.
